What's Done Is Done

                         What's done is done(木已成舟)

Once upon a time, there was a little boy,Hank, who liked to say whatever he thought in mind. He was a simple-minded boy in a small village and meant no harm to people. However, the one thing which mattered a lot in the real world was the interpersonal relationship. We could eat all kinds of food as we like, yet we could not say what we think in mind.  One day, a wise and old man came in town and heard people speaking ill of the little boy. Few people in the village liked the little boy, let alone liked his parents. Hence, Hank's mom came to see the wise man, asking for help. “ Take your boy here,” said the wise man, “Remember a nail and a hammer with him.”

The little boy came to the old man and shouted,” What’s up! Old man!” The old man just smiled and told him to take the nail and hammer out. The old man took the boy under a tree and told the boy to nail the tree with the hammer. The little boy did as told. The old man asked him to pull the nail out. The boy tried hard to pull it out. The old man said,” Did you see a big hole in the tree?” “ Ya, that was a big one,” said the boy.  “ Could you fix the hole?” the old man smiled. “ Not a chance! How can I fix a big hole like this?” the boy shouted.  “ Your words are like the big hole. It’s done and you cannot fix it.”  “ You cannot fix it even you say sorry,” said the old man, “ People always think a sorry can fix everything, but what’s done is done. Think before you say it, rather say what you think.”

We are in a complicated world and everyone is busy working things out in their lives. It is unlikely people will always remind you everything and forgive your minor mistakes. Sorry seems to be useless if you meet someone with a calculating nature, let alone those working with you. Think before you say and learn something from the real world.
